48 MWp :
In October 2015, Conergy signed a contract with Negros Island Solar Power Inc. (islaSol), a joint venture between the Philippine Investment Alliance for Infrastructure (PINAI), a fund managed by Macquarie Infrastructure Management (Asia) Pty Limited and Bronzeoak Philippines to build a 48 MWp solar power plant in Manapla, Negros Occidental. The plant was completed in March and inaugurated in April 2016.
“Our partnership with Conergy has contributed to the successful implementation of our solar projects and we are delighted to have them on board to continue the quality design and engineering for islaSol.” said Jose Maria P. Zabaleta, President of Negros Island Solar Power.
“We are extremely pleased to expand our relationship with Bronzeoak and islaSol, and participate in the ongoing transformation of the energy infrastructure in the Philippines – driving solar energy to play an increasingly important role in the country as new capacities are built to cope with expectations of rising energy demand. With the signing of these new contracts, by early 2016 Conergy would have built
a total of 274 MWp of solar capacity in the Philippines, sufficient power to supply over 171,300 homes in the country,” said Alexander Lenz, CEO of Conergy.
“Conergy’s uncompromising focus on quality, cost optimization and discipline in implementing best practice processes in our global and local delivery centers have enabled us to build for Bronzeoak and its partners commercially successful solar plants that not only operate with high efficiencies and power availability but also generate the highest possible yields. Furthermore, without international presence and extensive solar capabilities, customers like islaSol are able to leverage on our global resources and benefit from our economies of scale,“ added Lenz.
As of March 2017, Bronzeoak & San Carlos Clean Energy have been owned by Ayala Corporation‘s power arm, AC Energy.
